Important update! Now the group is full and I am waiting for participants co confirm their places. You can still fill in the form on the bottom of this page for a waiting list in case some participants decide not to join.

EATA handbook sees understanding all major approaches to TA and demonstrating knowledge of recent developments, including their similarities and differences as one of core competences for psychotherapists. Additionally, one of the ten areas assessed during the CTA oral exam is theoretical knowledge, where a high score requires discussing various trends, directions, and current developments.

My name is Hanna Konoplyanyk. I am a trainer and supervisor in TA (PTSTA-P). I regularly undergo supervision, attend professional development trainings, and participate in conferences. However, my greatest passion is delving deeply into theory by reading articles and books.

I understand that independent reading and learning can be challenging for many. We might lack structure, a space for discussion, or guidance on material selection. A TA reading group can help address these difficulties.

For this project, I will carefully select reading materials (articles from leading TA journals from the last 5-10 years, chapters from new books, etc.), prepare presentations based on the main ideas if necessary, present the articles, and facilitate discussions among group members.

Participants will be expected to read the assigned materials (usually 1-2 articles) on time, actively engage in discussions after a brief presentation at the meeting, and possibly continue the discussion in a group chat.

What is included in the price:

  • Selected articles or other materials published in the last 5-10 years

  • Online meeting in Zoom in a small group with a presentation by the facilitator and discussion of the reading

  • Presentation in electronic form (if available), summary and recording of group discussion

  • Participating in a group chat for additional discussion and networking between meetings

  • A certificate for 2 hours of training for each meeting attended (the training is conducted by PTSTA and can be taken into account for CTA certification).

A total of 9 meetings are planned on Mondays. Time - 9:45 to 12:00 (British time zone).

Meeting dates:

  • September 16th 2024

  • October 14th 2024

  • November 11th 2024

  • December 9th 2024

  • January 6th 2025

  • February 3rd 2025

  • March 3rd 2025

  • March 31st 2025

  • April 28th 2025

I will announce the topics of the meetings in advance. These topics will include new trends in TA (Eco TA, Radical Relational TA, Interpretive Dynamic TA, Intersectional Analysis), new developments in older trends (Relational TA, Co-creative TA) and new perspectives on classic concepts (Okness Theory, etc.).

The cost of each meeting is £40.

WARNING! The group is semi-closed. Each participant undertakes to pay and participate in the meetings or to notify the withdrawal from the group at least one month in advance. I charge for skipped meetings, but in that case I will still send you the reading materials, the video recording and summary of the discussion and the presentation. You will also be able to share your thoughts and ask questions in the group chat.

In order to respect copyright, I ask all valid members of the group to be active members of the International TA Association (ITAA). If you need help or have any questions about membership - contact me!
