EATA handbook sees understanding all major approaches to TA and demonstrating knowledge of recent developments, including their similarities and differences as one of core competences for psychotherapists. Additionally, one of the ten areas assessed during the CTA oral exam is theoretical knowledge, where a high score requires discussing various trends, directions, and current developments.

My name is Hanna Konoplyanyk. I am a trainer and supervisor in TA (PTSTA-P). I regularly undergo supervision, attend professional development trainings, and participate in conferences. However, my greatest passion is delving deeply into theory by reading articles and books.

I understand that independent reading and learning can be challenging for many. We might lack structure, a space for discussion, or guidance on material selection. A TA reading group can help address these difficulties.

I currently run a few reading groups in English and Ukrainian. I carefully select reading materials (articles from leading TA journals from the last 5-10 years, chapters from new books, etc.), prepare presentations based on the main ideas if necessary, present the articles, and facilitate discussions among group members.

Participants are expected to read the assigned materials (usually 1-2 articles) on time, actively engage in discussions after a brief presentation at the meeting, and possibly continue the discussion in a group chat.

What is included in the price:

  • Selected articles or other materials published in the last 5-10 years

  • Online meeting in Zoom in a small group with a presentation by the facilitator and discussion of the reading

  • Presentation in electronic form (if available), summary and recording of group discussion

  • Participating in a group chat for additional discussion and networking between meetings

  • A certificate for 2 hours of training for each meeting attended (the training is conducted by PTSTA and can be taken into account for CTA certification).

The cost of each meeting is £35-£40 (depending on group language).

WARNING! All groups are semi-closed. Each participant undertakes to pay and participate in the meetings or to notify the withdrawal from the group at least one month in advance. I charge for skipped meetings, but in that case I will still send you the reading materials, the video recording and summary of the discussion and the presentation. You will also be able to share your thoughts and ask questions in the group chat.

In order to respect copyright, I ask all valid members of the group to be active members of the International TA Association (ITAA). If you need help or have any questions about membership - contact me!

Please, contact me if you want to learn more about the dates and time for my groups or if you want to join one.
